AsNTM Cycle 2 11th & 12th Episode : Harper's Bazaar Editorial Photo Shoot

Episode 11 won't shown and the photoshoot won't be uploaded. Since the models had a photo shoot with Malaysia Airlines, the episode
was canceled due to the issue of the lost MH370 flight which crashed in
the South Indian Ocean. The show released a recap of what had happened
during the episode in their official YouTube channel.
The footage of episode 11 featured the top five models, Jodilly,
Katarina, Marie, Nicole, and Sheena participating in a photo shoot for
Malaysia Airlines. After the show took two weeks off to prolong the gap between the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370
incident and the airing of the episode, the producers of the show
decided to omit the episode entirely to respect those affected by the
tragedy. The previews for the episode following episode 10 only featured
Jodilly, Katarina, Marie, and Sheena. Sheena's photograph could still be seen as the 'photo of the week' banner for the episode that wasn't aired. The season picked up again with the top four episode just before the finale.

The final four were surprised by model mentor Joey Mead King to have catwalk exercises with cycle one winner Jessica Amornkuldilok.
The girls were then sent to a challenge, a go-see with the Harper's
Bazaar - Malaysia where they meet the editor-in-chief. Katarina was
called first but the editor was not impressed with her catwalk. Jodilly
followed next but she was somehow unsure of Jodilly's poses because they
were too cliche. The editor was impressed with Marie and Sheena's
portfolio and performance, the latter winning the challenge.
Challenge Winner : Sheena Liam
She was
awarded with a shopping spree of MAC Cosmetics worth $1,000. She shared
her prize with the girls.
After the girls went home, they meet mentor Joey Mead King to have a conversation with former Pussycat Dolls member Ashley wherein she shared modelling tips to the girls. The next day, they were greeted by Swedish pop duo Icona Pop
to introduce them to their next photo shoot for Harper's Bazaar. They
then meet Kenneth Goh, the creative director for Harper's Bazaar
Singapore. He was impressed with Jodilly and Katarina's performances
during the shoot, and Marie and Sheena gained mixed to positive
reactions from him and Mike.

Another sabotage... Why they use blue lipstick when she got blue dress?? Her face looks bad too but i think it's not her best photo because she got positive comment from mike and the photographer on the set...

So sad Marie get eliminated, she has 3 first call out and no bottom 2 along the competition! She deserved place in top 3! And Sheena, not the best but she give constantly good performance while Katarina saved all the way... Hate the judges...

ReplyDeleteJodilly - This is fashion! Everything looks great except for the cheeks. It looks swollen and inappropriate for her eyes. but still, this deserves to be an FCO. Its hot, but i dont know why, but katarina's photo is hotter. MAybe thats why she got an FCO.
KAtarina- I just assumed that you really hate her so you dont really like the photo but i can say that this photo is great. She is thicker than the rest so it will really be a challenge for her to look thin but her thickness did not become a hindrance for her to give us curves and she looks really hot here which is is required according to the brief. Her beautiful face is also important in modeling industry and like she said, she can go to size zero whenever she want so there's still hope for her. She also radiates sexiness on the photo and its on the brief of the photoshoot. and her cleavage is really hot. Sorry, i just cant ignore it. But she's really short on the picture though. But the drama of folding your feet and making it nearer on your body is an act of being in distress, being in shame. So its still good.
Marie- Her face profile is sexy but the body is not. A little body twisting will give us some curves and will stop her left arm from lookin like an arm from a child mannequin. legs look good but the overall photo became a disaster because of the freakin left arm. I wish, she have the same lighting as what the other 3 have.
Sheena - I hate everything aside from her hair, lips and the light. The neck is thick and her face is in agony again. Its ok because their brief likes them to do the 'walk of shame' but seeing this face over and over again made it generic. She's also not sexy in this photo and she looks really old and raped. Sorry for the term. and the dress looks really cheap. main difference between her and katarina? KAtarina can deliver sexy and she can deliver pain and agony. sheena can model size zero but katarina cant and she is longer. But just like the body, face is also really important on modeling industry.
Mike rosenthal had already said that it is the photographer that chooses the photos and the girls are being judged based on the picture, their attitude on the shoot and also their growth as a model. (i dont know if i had missed any). I cant also say that it is sabotaged and there are better photos because what we see on TV is different from what the photographer had captured. We must remember that the photographer and the camera man have different angles when shooting and have different cameras. Also sheena had said in the VTR that she liked the blue lipstick because according to her, it made her job easier because its more edgy so i cant complain about it.
For me, it is marie who must had stayed and sheena must be the one eliminated on the contest. KAtarina's growth as a model is amazing, jodilly is fluctuating but she can be asia's next top model and marie is great. I think, that she had just made an impression to the judges that she can deliver more thats why their disapointed, Thats the setback of being too good in the start because the judges will expect more in the future. Im still torn between jodilly and katarina. Jodilly's photo shouts fashion but katarina's photo is smokin hot.
Agree with you about Jodilly photo's... i can see her photo in any actual fashion magaine ... Katarina is really gorgeous and hot but im still not sure about her modeling (in terms high fashion) but she definitely nailed commercial side... But hopefully she can prove me wrong in the future :) thanks for your comment freezor ohp :)
