Top Model - Vanessa Hegelmaier
Anna Vanessa Hegelmaier or more popularly known as Vanessa Hegelmaier - 9th place of Germany's Next Top Model Cycle 3. Her beautiful, edgy and mysterious appearance reminds the figure of actress Eva Green but more modelesque version. Before joining GNTM, Ms. Hagelmaier is a student majoring in mathematics at the university of Bielefeld. In 2008, without her knowledge, her friends applied for her to be on the show! With her huge modeling potential, Ms. Hegelmaier was invited to be featured in the first episode among the top 100 and was selected to be part of the final 19 cast in episode 2.
At the start of the competition, Ms. Hegelmaier didn't stand out from the other finalists but not because of a bad portfolio but because of a lack of screen time, yeah she was no bitch or drama queen but more a calmed, quiet personality and educated girl. Until when she won the first casting for Bree handbags challenge beating other aspiring models and Ms. Hegelmaier began to dominate the competition. But unfortunately in episode 9, when the models had to travel to Australia, Vanessa was unable to continue the competition because of her illness (brain concussion). She already missed a week, so she was forced to quit at that moment..
After GNTM, Ms. Hegelmaier resumed her studies and in 2009 he decided to return to the modeling world by getting signed with Place Models Management in Hamburg which is his mother agency to date. Not long after that he was successfully recruited by IMG New York and entered the Development Board from where his career began to skyrocket, only a few days after she gets signed, IMG already has enough faith in her to be a part of their show package ... yeah she made her runway debut during Spring / Summer 2010 shows in New York, London, Milan, and Paris walking for more than 20 different labels!! And since then the name Vanessa Hegelmaier has become one of the best-selling models as evidenced by the runway for big shows such as Missoni, Dolce Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Herve Leger, Moschino, BCBG Max Azria, Topshop Unique to Alberta Ferreti, campaigns for well-known brands such as DKNY and Escada. Sport, and Cover and Editorial for high fashion magazines such as Amica Italia, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Cosmopolitan.
With her success in the modeling industry today, Vanessa is the most successful alumni among all participants in Germany's Next Top Model and i'm sure she is one of the best girl in Top Model history. Although she is currently taking a break from the modeling world, she is undoubtedly the legend of the Next Top Model Franchise ... Miss you Ms. Hegelmaier!
