Top Model - Polina Barbasova
Polina Barbasova or better known as Polina Sova - Runner up of Norway's Next Top Model Cycle 5 in 2007. I remember when I first saw her when the pre-show photos were released I didn't see any potential... I thought Kaja and Anette were better than her. But after the show, I LOVE her, Polina must have great potential, her face is amazing, a bit innocent but with her wide jawline and bone structure make her trademark incredibly unique at the same time most importantly she knows how to walk and she's very kind ! But too bad, Ms. Sova (as well as Kaja) was robbed by Kamilla Alnes and had to settle for being runner up from the NorNTM Cycle 5 modeling competition.
After NorNTM finished, Ms. Sova tried her luck in the modeling industry and she managed to appear for several local fashion magazines, campaigns for several norway brands like "Krogh Optikk" and walk for Oslo Fashion Week. Her career started to take off after she ventured to New York and signed with Ford Models New York in 2008. In the same year, Ms. Sova debuted at New York fashion week and managed to run for designers such as Rachel Comey, Toni Maticevski and Trovata. Her pretty good debut made Ms. Sova began to be known and even called one of the Ford Fresh Faces by Models.com, at the peak of her career she managed to appear in various world fashion magazines such as Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar, Elle and V Magazine, became an exclusive model for Givenchy AW 2009 and took part in Cover French Revue Des Modes Magazine along with other big names such as Abbey Lee Kershaw, Karlie KLoss, Ali Stephens, Ksenia Kahnovich, Coco Rocha and others.
After more than 10 years of career Polina still exists in the modeling world until now, and she is still running for the 2020 S/S Fashion Week in New York and London. With her achievements and successes, Ms. Sova deserves to be called one of the most successful NTM franchise alumni ... Get it Girl!
