AusNTM Cycle 8 5th Episode : Calvin Klein Inspired Vintage Lingerie Photo Shoot
Original airdate : July 30, 2013Challenge : Facing your fears
Setelah menerima Jen Mail yang berisi 'Today is no walk in the park, I hope you haven't bitten off more than you can chew. See ya later alligator' para finalis dibawa ke Australian Reptile Park dan disana mereka bertemu dengan Didier & Julie Mendezona. Dengan maksud agar para model lebih bersiap diri dalam menghadapi pemotretan di real modelling world dan menghadapi ketakutan mereka, in todays modelling teach (??), para finalis dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok dan harus menemukan 6 koin yang tersebar didalam toples yang penuh dengan insect dan worms.
Team 1 : Abbie, Taylah, Jade, Shannon, Mellisa & Ashley
Team 2 : Madeline, Duckie, Dajana, Shanali, Brooke & April
Abbie & Madeline dengan mudah mencari koin yang dimaksud, but the show stealer was Duckie who freaking out and it's hilarious (LOL). Walaupun team 1 hampir lebih dulu menyelesaikan challenge ini, namun Shannon kesulitan mendapatkan koin dan didului oleh April dari team 2 yang akhirnya berhasil memenangkan challenge facing your fears ini.
Selanjutnya para model ditantang untuk have a kiss with baby alligator... It's been a while since Ashley has had a kiss so she gets one from the
alligator. Abbie has kissed worse so the alligator doesn't phase her. But poor Shanali, she get her first kiss with the alligator and she gets upset about it.
Kemudian untuk challenge terakhir para model berbaring di rumput dan mereka dikenalkan dengan Fluffy, seekor phyton. Beberapa gadis telihat excited seperti Taylah dan Ashley, namun Abbie & Dajana histeris takut ngeliat uler raksasa itu. Namun Didier merasa bangga dengan Abbie yang berhasil melawan ketakutannya dan membuktikan dirinya serius dalam kompetisi ini. Tak lama Didier membawa seekor kangaroo dan sebuah Jen Mail yang berisi Makeover Time!!

One of my favorite! Shanali doing great... I wish she give more sultry and more fierceness in her face but undoubtly it's a great shot and interesting picture..

Like i said before, this may be the downfall of AusNTM... Kenapa mereka ga serius mempersiapkan para finalis untuk menjadi model professional? Bukannya diajarin catwalk, fashion knowledge, atau apalah malah racing nyari koin dalam toples serangga?? ckckck so dissapointed and i'm so over this show... Makeover yang harusnya membawa para kontestan terlihat lebih modelesque malah membuat mereka menjadi average girl that we can see in mall... Photo shoot? damn this is so bad... the "lingerie" is unflattering and hideous and what's the point to shoot them in a park if they use white background??... Dan yang terpenting April dieliminasi?? come on! she is one of the best faces in this cycle and have better photo this week and better portfolio than other girls!! Kalo mau double elimination Madeline, Ashley atau Dajana tuh lebih cocok!! WTF AusNTM!!

Cut to the collar bone, Dyed Chocolate Brown - its exactly same with Brooke?? the hair stylist really creative!!
Trimmed and Colour added - one of the better makeover
Threaded and Trimmed - Shanali is getting the hair on her face threaded (YES!!!!!) Poor girl cries with the pain..one word... REGAL
Trimmed, Straightened & Centre Part - She looks fierce and modelesque
Blonder, Trimmed, Layers and Highlights - I think dark hair more suits her... dark hair match with her dark edgy look

Cut to the collar bone, Highlights - first victim of Australia's Next Top Model infamous collar bone length... Setiap cycle selalu ada makeover dengan potongan rambut nanggung kepada para finalis, dan selalu gagal membuat mereka lebih modelesque... Walaupun model rambut ini sangat jelek in my honest opinion tp entah kenapa para hair stylist di Australia selalu memotong rambut peserta dengan model ini :(
