Newcomer of Top Model 2014 - Part 1
2015 telah tiba tapi sebelum kita menyaksikan Top Model show yang akan ditayangkan tahun ini, kita flashback sedikit untuk melihat NTM show yang ditayangkan sepanjang tahun 2014. Tercatat 15 show hadir dari berbagai negara dan tahun ini juga menelurkan nama-nama baru dalam modeling industry and i wish they find their success in 2015, not only the girl in this list but also all the finalist who made up to model house... This list is about newcomer who i like and i think they all have modeling potential... Here we go!
Africa's Next Top Model Cycle 1
(November 10, 2013 - January 12, 2014)
I love this new franchise! Oluchi as the host really remind me of Tyra in ANTM cycle 1-3 era... Oluchi was really caring and she's there to mentor those girls not just host the show... The cast was amaing especially for first cycle, and i think no one is a filler (except Marwa, the first girl get eliminated). The photo shoot was really great and creative, i love Beauty Shot with hairdresser, Township Couture Theme, BW Verve Suits Ad with male model and alien in dungeon.. The top 3 was really strong and we have outstanding winner!! Here the newcomer from Africa..
Queen from day one! She's just standout from the beginning of the competition... After AfNTM She's working hard to get proportional measurement, and now she's ready to take her crown! She's now with DNA Model Management New York and already booking high profile jobs like Jonathan Simkhai Pre-Fall 2015 lookbook and some editorial.
She had this elegant classic beauty look with gorgeous cheekbone.. Michaela was strong contender and her portfolio just constantly great until end of the competition... But she's such a disappointment for me. She could be doing so much better, but I get the impression she's more interested in doing pageants at this point..
The biggest surprises for me... Yeah she's standout whit her edgy, strong jaw and bit rough look but i don't expect her success she reach now... She's book by many great designer at Cape Town Fashion Week and she managed to get hire by high fashion magaine like Ingqephu and Marie Claire South Africa.
Estonia's Next Top Model Cycle 2
(October 14, 2013 - January 13, 2014)
The cast was really weak, this cycle full of short girl or soccer mom who think they has the look to be a model... It's really depressing because we had stunning cast in cycle 1 and rightful winner Helina Metsik and then we have Sandra this cycle :( This cycle save by Kairi who is star of the cycle, her awkward yet fascinating personality bring this cycle far more entertaining than it's first cycle. The shoot looks good but again the girls performance did not help either... I think i only like 2 girls in terms of modeling, Olga and Monika.
She has the height and look but she's far from ready to modeling... She need to learn more, toned her body and bring more personality. I think she can do it if she serious and want this.
Maybe she's old but she's look younger than her age. Her look is interesting and she doing great in the competition. She deserved a place in top 2 and i think she deserved to take the crown. If Olga was the winner, definitely Estonia's Next Top Model has rank higher in my Winner's Rank.
Colombia's Next Top Model Cycle 2
(January 13, 2014 - February 7, 2014)
I'm sorry but this is the worst Next Top Model that air last year... Unfortunately, second season of ColNTM failed to impress on so many levels.. Really disappointing because the first cycle was much better... The photo shoot just recreate from other NTM but at least make it better than the original and they fall tacky and cheap shot.. The cast just horrible, they all beautiful but more like a pageant than modeling competition... And call out order was really a mess... The modeleque girl just eliminated and not reach the top 4... But at least ColNTM crown the decent girl and could've been much worse... Here's the model that looks actually modelesque...
Yeah maybe she's not at the same level with Camila & Vanessa, but Yuriko still decent girl who look modelesque compare to other pageant girls... With her look she can find her success at least locally and commercially...
Asia's Next Top Model Cycle 2
(January 8, 2014 - April 9, 2014)
Overall the cast was downgrade compare to the first cycle, it's hard to beat Jessica, Trang, Sofia, Astha, Stephanie & Helena. Yeah we had some beautiful girl like Katya, Tia and Pooja and then we have photogenic girl like Nicole, Josephine and Jodilly but i think Sheena and Marie are the only two who looks like a model. So Sheena winning this season pretty much pumped it up this cycle. The photo shoot looks better thought and oo yeah this cycle was better in drama section. Thanks to Janice who was star of the show with her sassy bitch personality and bring the LOL... I wish they could find more girls like Janice's personality combine with Sheena's potential.. Amen!
Striking face! But shame she's too short... She definitely deserved place in Top 3 with her strong portfolio..
She's standout from the start not only because her blonde hair but her look and potential too.. I think she's the only girl who can compete with girls from cycle 1. What i really like about this girl is she's really determined to be a model and she's working hard to get there. She was originally under a preliminary three-month contract with Storm Model Management in London, and her contract with Storm \was recently extended to a year due to her ability to book both print and runway work during her first trip to London. Now she's getting bigger in the industry, she had walk in fashion week and embrace 8 fashion magaine cover in south east Asia.

Sweden's Next Top Model Cycle 7
(February 24, 2014 - May 1, 2014)
The cast was really great and full of potential, the boys set the bar high enough to beat down and the girls are really gorgeous but more on commercial side though.. But what really bad about this cycle is how they can judge the models when they had two different theme photo shoot for the boys and the girls??... And the elimination system was really mess, they judge not by their performance each person but on whole gender group... sigh... And kinda depressing when we see potential model get eliminated one by one because that fucked up system... And they choose Feben as the winner when they get more modelesque finalist kinda sad too... She's good but not winner material... And what more depressing? lack of modeling work post show... waste potential :(
She has strong look and kinda remind me of Josefin Gustafsson.. She's too thick when she's compete in SweNTM but now she's proving that she serious in the modeling industry, she has a great toned body and recruit by Stockholmsgruppen modeling agency. Wish 2015 is her breaktrough year for her...
The successful one.. He has the look that working in Milan and Paris and yet he got eliminated too early. After the show, David signed with Stockholmsgruppen, Elite Model Management in Stockholm and Joy Models in Milan. He also walked for Dirk Bikkembergs for the Spring/Summer 2015 season in Milan.
His looks was so edgy and high fashion... But he still need learn his angle because sometimes looks too rough or too gay when get done maybe because his high cheekbone... Same with Agnes and David, Joakim signed with Stockholmsgruppen.
Tamara Weijenberg's male version... His looks is so high fashion! Beside David, i think Michael was the one who looks ready for modeling. Now Michael signed with Stockholsmgruppen and Elite Model Management in Stockholm.
