Colombia's Next Top Model : Not Just Another Latin NTM Franchise!
Colombia's Next Top Model (ColNTM) akan kembali dengan cycle ke-2 nya! Yup, ColNTM it's the third franchise in Latin America after Brazil's Next Top Model and Mexico's Next Top Model and the series began to air on Caracol TV on January, 13. Kabarnya karena rating cycle sebelumnya yang sangat memuaskan pihak produser, maka cycle ke-2 ini dibuat lebih BIGGER and BETTER! And they said they want 'High Rated prices' for this cycle so this might be more fashion! (jadi cycle 1 hanya untuk test publik sepertinya, LOL).

Carolina Cruz will join Franklin Ramos as the new host to replace
Carolina Guerra, who had to leave the show due to various work
commitments. Carolina Cruz sendiri adalah mantan miss pageant Colombia tahun 1999 dan saat ini terkenal sebagai celebrity di Colombia dan juga presenter ternama di sana. Actually i just prefer it when models host, they know what they're talking about more.. Kika Rocha and Catalina Aristizabal akan kembali duduk sebagai juri tapi Raul Higuera telah konfirmasi bahwa ia hengkang dari ColNTM Cycle 2. He was replaced by Photographer, Mauricio Velez.

The casting for cycle two began on August 6, 2013 and culminated on August 31 of the same year. Saat ini telah terpilih 20 Model dan mereka telah menyelesaikan filming tinggal menunggu finale season karena ColNTM menggunakan format HNTM yaitu top 4 public vote untuk memilih pemenangnya. ColNTM juga sepertinya akan tetap mengikuti format cycle sebelumnya yaitu setiap episode akan diputar setiap hari jadi kompetisi berlangsung hanya sekitar 2 minggu. Walaupun berbeda dengan NTM franchise lainnya di belahan dunia manapun tapi format ini ga aneh di Colombia mengingat mereka punya culture telenovela yang diputar setiap hari nya. Reality show was not very popular at first in Colombia so the producers had to adapt in
order to keep the shows running. This means daily episodes so people
stay interested and hooked up to the show...
Okay, mudah-mudahan janji producers untuk membuat ColNTM Cycle 2 menjadi lebih baik dari sebelumnya ditepati, mengingat cast dari cycle 1 yang tidak terlalu baik dalam konteks modeling. And i hope they release the photo shoot every episode so people outside Colombia can following this girls journey... Amen!
