Australia's Next Top Model - Cycle 9 Coming 2015!
Setelah vakum setahun setelah kemenangan Melissa, akhirnya Australia's Next Top Model atau AusNTM akan kembali eksis di tahun 2015 dengan cycle ke-9 nya... Banyak yang bertanya-tanya bagaimana kah kelanjutan dari AusNTM setelah flop cycle pada musim lalu, apakah masih dilanjutkan? Why flop? weak cast in terms modeling potential, good winner but not that great, too much gimmick that not related to fashion, and weak photo shoot... Dan yess akhirnya AusNTM konfirm akan menjadi Next Top Model show pertama yang rilis pada tahun 2015 dan masih ditayangkan di channel Fox8.
Walaupun agak khawatir dengan kualitas AusNTM yang menurun pada cycle 8, however AusNTM pernah menjadi Next Top Model Show terbaik dan menelurkan model-model profesional jadi i think this time they'll be work harder and increase their standard... Sama seperti cycle 8, Jennifer Hawkins duduk sebagai host sekaligus Head Judge dan tetap ditemani oleh Didier Cohen dan Alex Perry di kursi juri. Cheyenne Tozzi akan beperan sebagai new co-mentor pada musim ini. Instead of finding a replacement for the late Charlotte Dawson, the show opted to include a special guest judge each week. Foxtel Executive Director of Television Brian Walsh explained: "The whole team on the show has been deeply affected by the loss of Charlotte earlier this year. We feel the series will never be the same without her and in 2015 we will welcome a special guest judge each week to join the judging panel as in our minds Charlotte is irreplaceable.. Special guest judge yang sudah confirm diantara lain, Alessandra Ambrosio, Kelly Osbourne, Jean Paul Gaultier, Linda Evangelista and tentu saja Ms. Tyra Banks!
All applying contestants were required to be aged 16 through 21 in order to apply for the show. Those auditioning had to be at least 172 centimetres (68 in) tall. To qualify, all applicants had to be an Australian citizen currently living in Australia. Audisi sudah dilakukan di berbagai daerah di Australia seperti Newcastle, Gold Coast, Adelaide & Perth. Selain itu tim produksi juga mengadakan online selfie competition yang dinamakan Australia's Next Top Selfie untuk memberi kesempatan lebih besar agar bisa diikuti oleh para calon model di seluruh Australia. Applicants were required to submit a photograph tagged #antmselfie on Instagram,Twitter or Facebook. Tapi bukan berarti persyaratan finalis menjadi lebih mudah, all live audition requirements still applied.The winner of the competition was granted a spot within the final cast.
Berbeda dengan 2 cycle sebelumnya, kali ini tidak akan ada casting episode. Dan baru saja tim produksi merilis 12 peserta yang akan memperebutkan gelar Australia's Next Top Model, dan inilah mereka!
