Top Model - Aamito Lagum
Aamito Stacie Lagum - the first winner of Africa's Next Top Model. The Ugandan goddess with amazing look that standout from day one even on cycle 1's amazing cast! 'Queen', her nick name, suit her really well... With her strikingly beautiful look, great walk with perfect height (180 cm), Ms. Moreover, won the hearts of many NTM fans as well as the judges (including Oluchi) since the audition began. And it is not wrong that she has been mentioned as a potential champion since the competition began. Ms. Lagum already worked as a model and joined BOSS Models, South Africa Modeling Agency, before AfNTM Cycle 1 started, but this is where she finally found a way to make her name bigger than ever... And I love her personality! With her experience she's become a little Diva, LOL, but more in the likable side because she's not arrogant... I like her pride in being Ugandan, she's an amazing representative for the country.. and she's really determined and hard worker, it's a plus point for me.
With her potential, great walk and strong portfolio she's easily enter the final 3, out of the three girls (with Michaela and Opeyemi, who are all amazing in their own ways) she's got the most potential for an international carreer.. and my favorite moment of the finale is when the DNA's judge ask them who deserve to win, no one answer with their selves's name but her.. Yes! she's confidence and know she deserve to take the title!
After graduating from AfNTM, Ms. Lagum returned to Uganda and received many local job offers and she began to expand his portfolio with BOSS Models and prepare herself to fit international model sizes (hip size (36) is wide while international standards 34), in 2014 she finally made her first appearance at international modeling scene by joining DNA New York and debuting in Fashion Week FW 2015.. No half-hearted she walked for several big shows in her first season such as Lacoste, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Tome, Hermes, Lanvin, Opening for Balenciaga and even Bottega Veneta in Milan which is known as a city that is difficult to accept models other than white... Bravo!
Ms. Lagum don't stop there, thanks to her success in fashion week she is trusted to star in the Marc Jacobs FW 2015 Campaign with other top models.. Not only runway, Ms. Lagum is also present in various editorials in top fashion magazines such as Glamor South Africa, Marie Claire South Africa, I-D Magazine, Interview Magazine, Vanity Fair, W Magazine, British Vogue, Vogue Espana and Vogue Germany...
Now i just wish she's gonna be bigger in the modeling industry, i want to see her more in runway, campaign, cover, editorial, beauty campaign etc... She has all the good to be more successful... Amen! i believe you Queen!
