Top Model - Cindy Gradilla
Cindy Gradilla - Runner up of Mexico's Next Top Model cycle 4. International Model and Lawyer about self love, body positivity and radical acceptance.. At first Cindy is not my choice to be my favorite at the beginning of the competition. I mean, she's pretty but not really caught my attention. But after her hard work along the competition i like her appareance and how persistent she is.
Cindy started modelling in my hometown when she was 15 and at the same time doing a part-time job as an administrative secretary along with her studies. And she got an opportunity to participate in the reality show “Mexico´s next top model” where she got 2nd place.she got an invitation to get into a model agency in Mexico City where I started pursuing modelling as a profession.
I think she's the most ready to join the competition, she was more mental work than anything else at the time. She went with the mentality that self-confidence would be the most important fact in the competition as well as patience and perseverance in each challenge that she had to carry out. And yeah her hard work paid she become runner up on MxNTM in 2013.
After MxNTM, she got an invitation to get into a model agency in Mexico City where she started pursuing modelling as a profession. She's prepared herself to build her career in modeling industry, she maintain her body to be more fit for fashion, her feature more prominent and sexy. But She think the main challenge was not to take things personally, as well as to be able to maintain herself in the measures that she had to have, also the fact of trying not to compare herself with the other models within the works or castings. Another tips from Cindy is very important is to preserve your essence, personality, and self-confidence.
In modeling, Cindy appear in some big fashion magazine like L'Officiel Mexico, Marie Claire Mexico, Cosmopolitan UK and not only that she walks for London and New York Fashion week for several seasons. At 2021, She just graduated as a lawyer from México and this year only she have decided to start with my masters in Corporate law. When she was working on her thesis she found that in Mexico, there are a large number of freelancers who work with companies under an exclusive contract and who comply with fixed working day hours, but not count as permanent workers for the company and therefore do not have medical insurance, a fixed salary and some other legal benefits to which they are entitled. She's not currently working as a lawyer but this is a part that she would like to continue investigating a little more and see the possibility of being able to propose a change in this aspect.
